Children's Hospital Association (CHA) has submitted comments to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on their recent requests for information on regulatory reform. Our responses highlight federal regulatory policies that could be improved or modernized to better support pediatric care delivery and offer the following recommendations for regulatory reform:

  • Expanding the Medicare Hospital at Home waiver to children’s hospitals
  • Revising Medicaid’s requirements for out-of-state provider enrollment
  • Streamlining federal price transparency rules

In the letters, CHA provides recommendations for reasonable regulatory reforms to strengthen children’s hospitals’ ability to provide age-appropriate, timely, and high-quality care to children across the nation.
